Lawyers Hub will be at the AI Action Summit 2025 in Paris

The Lawyers Hub, in collaboration with the African Parliamentary Network on Internet Governance (APNIG), officially launched the AI & Democracy Working Group on October 31, 2024.

Due to the growing concerns pertaining to the political environment in Kenya, the Africa Law and Tech Festival scheduled to take place on 26 - 27 August 2024 will proceed ONLINE.

On February 13, 2024, a Public Policy Discussion was organized by the Lawyers Hub. The focus of the discussion was Africa’s contribution to the Interim Report on Artificial Intelligence by the UN’s high-level advisory body on AI.

At the 2023 Athens Roundtable, Lawyers Hub gave a presentation on the topic of “Uncovering the Use of Generative AI in Judicial Contexts”.

rom December 4-8, 2023, Lawyers took part in the UNCTAD eWeek 2023, held at the International Conference Center of Geneva (CICG) in Geneva. The event was themed 'Shaping the future of the digital economy'.

During the 2023 Paris Peace Forum, Lawyers Hub's CEO and Founder, Linda Bonyo, represented the organization in a roundtable session titled "Fighting Global Disparities through Equitable AI for Equitable Policies"

On November 7, 2023, our CEO and Founder, Linda Bonyo, represented Lawyers at the Open Data Institute Summit 2023.

At the AI Fringe forum, Linda Bonyo of Lawyers Hub, participated in a panel discussion on "How do we prevent AI from perpetuating privilege and widening gaps in society?"

Between June 5th and 8th, 2023, Lawyers Hub participated in the 12th edition of RightsCon, an international conference focusing on human rights in the digital era.

Another successful year for the Africa Law Tech Festival

From June 5-7, 2023, our CEO and Founder, Linda Bonyo, represented Lawyers at re:publica 2023 in Berlin, Germany. She took part in a panel discussion titled "Beating the gender bias in AI".
