Message from Linda Bonyo, Founder & CEO, Lawyers Hub

Dear colleagues and friends of the Lawyers Hub,
Last month, we proudly hosted the fifth edition of the Africa Law Tech Festival from August 26th to 27th. It was an action-packed two days filled with knowledge exchange and insightful discussions from experts across the African continent and beyond. We were honored to welcome 1,556 virtual delegates from 50 different nationalities. Our program featured 18 panels with 38 speakers, the launch of three reports, and the inauguration of Africa’s first AI Policy Lab to promote responsible and impactful AI governance across the continent. A heartfelt thank you to all our partners, speakers, the Lawyers Hub team, and YOU, our delegates, for making this event a success.

I am thrilled to share the official recap video of the Africa Law Tech Festival 2024. This year’s theme, “Artificial Intelligence & the Year of Education,” explored how AI can drive digital transformation, skills development, and education in the 21st century, while ensuring legal and regulatory safeguards to protect users and society. Relive the captivating moments and inspiring talks that defined this year’s event.
Additionally, I am excited to announce that the recorded sessions from this year’s festival are now available on our YouTube channel for free. Here are a few standout sessions that I highly recommend:
