About the Festival
Since 2020, the festival has hosted several relevant digital policy themes keeping up with the rapid growth of the tech policy landscape on the African continent. It is an annual conference designed to appeal to a wide array of players in the law & technology space through a multifaceted approach to conferencing. The festival brings together like-minded individuals to lead idea-focused conversations and further innovation around technology and the law.

The Africa Law Tech Festival 2024 will mark the 5th edition since its inception in 2020. It will be a three-day summit scheduled for August 25th to 27th, 2024. The Festival will commence with the AI Policy summer school, which will be held in person at Riara University from August 25th to 26th, 2024, followed by the conference on the 27th.
Under the Theme: AI & the Year of Education, the festival aims to;
- Empower African stakeholders in crafting responsible and effective AI policy frameworks for the continent.
- Foster knowledge exchange between legal professionals, policymakers, innovators, and civil society on AI governance.#
- Champion responsible AI innovation within the African AI ecosystem.
